Leadership Paradox

Are leadership skills multi-dimensional and deep?     Is your organization optimized to serve competing demands?

Adaptive Capacity can be constrained by the emotional stresses of personal change.  Senior leaders are not immune to this, therefore, must be among the first to begin the adaptive cycle.  Throughout the adaptive cycle, leaders will be called upon to foster an environment that reinforces the desired mindset and deal swiftly with visible or passive-aggressive behaviors that seek to maintain the status-quo.  As the cycle progresses, leaders will face ever more challenging decisions, therefore, they must condition their mindset to navigate the Leadership Paradox: an agility to operate effectively between equally compelling but competing imperatives – and the humility to place the benefit of the broader organization over personal gain.
