The Level 5 Adaptive approach focuses on building adaptive capacity – the skills, experience, and thus, the confidence (mindset), to win in an ever-changing business environment, i.e. continuous disruption.  Adaptive Leadership involves challenging embedded paradigms, routines, power structures that perpetuate the status quo and squelch any initiative for change.  A baseline serves to plan a series of controlled departures from established norms, the planned addition of outside/unique perspectives to create a path to success, and a rigor to maintain the resolve of senior leadership to tolerate the “noise” of resistance are the some of main ingredients that lead to adaptive change.
